Send a Kid to Camp raised more than $140,000
Summer never seemed so important especially now more than ever when the last 2 ½ years of the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted so many children and families from socializing, learning, and well, just being a kid. Even more importantly, sending kids to camp helps minimize learning loss due to the pandemic.
This summer, the YMCA of the East Bay was thrilled to offer Summer Day Camp by offering children entering K-6 to experience a variety of activities that center around science, mathematics, and reading, field trips, relay races, songs, skits, contests, water games, crafts, and an opportunity to meet new friends. Our curriculum blends daily enrichment and freedom of exploring the outdoors. Each 10 weeks of camp, children are met with themes, like ‘Animal Planet’, ‘The Great Outdoors’, or ‘Under the Sea.’
With six unified school districts participating throughout the East Bay, Albany, Castro Valley, Fremont, Mt. Diablo, San Ramon Valley, and West Contra Costa in Richmond, we’re serving more than 750 children, developing young minds and bodies into successful, caring and responsible individuals.
With the support of so many donors, we’ve raised more than $140,000 during our Send to Kid Camp campaign to offer financial assistance to low-income families to send their kid to camp. Donate Today!
